History

Minmore House is an elegant stone-built country house standing amid the magnificent scenery of the Glenlivet Crown Estate in Speyside. Originally built in the 1800’s by the Smith family, founders of The Glenlivet Distillery it has stunning views over Glenlivet. Several of the original old stone out buildings have been converted into luxurious cottages giving fantastic views of some of the magnificent cairngorms national park.

 

The Glenlivet Estate consists of nearly 90 square miles of glens, forestry and moorlands in the Grampian Highlands. There are over 100 miles of marked trails including the Speyside Way.

 

Minmore is a short distance from the famous Glenlivet Distillery on ‘Scotland’s Malt Whisky Trail’ with over 35 distilleries in the region. Why not book a stay, enjoy a tour of the distillery, take a beautiful walk in the stunning scenery and admire our wonderful wildlife or try a spot of fishing!
